We are proud to announce that our Hopegill Gardens development has been selected as a regional winner in this year’s LABC Building Excellence Awards.
The housing development has been shortlisted for the national grand final in London, having placed first in the regional rounds in the ‘Best Small New Housing Development’ category for the North. The site was planned, designed, project managed and constructed by Atkinsons’ team in the Penrith office along with support from numerous local subcontractors.
Hopegill Gardens is a collection of 5 homes, set in a picturesque location within Braithwaite, Keswick. Faced with elements of traditional Lakeland slate and sandstone features, each home was finished to a premium specification with open plan design elements incorporated which take full advantage of the scenic views across the nearby Lakeland fells.
We are passionate about reducing the carbon footprint of the homes that we build and have already introduced a new standard of building that are well above the current regulations. Our new homes are ultra-insulated and air-tight, so require little energy for heating, and Hopegill Gardens was another great example.
The Local Authority Building Control Awards celebrate significant achievements within the construction industry, rewarding excellent building, outstanding companies, as well as partnerships and individuals that go the extra mile.
We are extremely proud of these awards and our teams’ achievements which are testament to everyone involved.
